About the Workers' Cooperative Law

What is the Workers' Cooperative?

A worker cooperative is an organization whose basic principle is that union members invest, reflect their opinions, and that the union's business is carried out reflecting their opinions, and the members themselves engage in the business. It is an organization established under the Workers' Cooperative Act (Act No. 78 of 2020).
The Workers' Co-operative Act, except in some cases, will come into effect on October 1, 2022.

The submission of various reports and documents under the Workers' Cooperative Law, such as notification of union formation, are handled by the prefecture that governs the location of the main office.
