The coastal area of LINKAI Yokohama Kanazawa was born from the sea through three landfill projects by Yokohama City, which began in the second phase of the Negishi Bay Landfill Project in 1967 (Showa 42). . In this area, there are industrial clusters, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as commercial and recreation-related facilities, with about 36,000 people working. In December 2017 (Heisei 29), through the “Kanazawa Coastal Revitalization Project”, the name of the district was designated as “LINKAI Yokohama Kanazawa” by incorporating the opinions of people working in the area, neighboring residents and citizens. Has been decided.

The word "LINKAI" has two meanings.

This name implies that "people want to gather and work together in an attractive area where many small and medium-sized businesses gather and operate, and want to move together into the future (connection, Egaku Mirai)".

Kohoku Ward has the largest manufacturing facilities in the city and many factories are located close to the residents.
At the Kohoku Open Factory, residents of the city visit factories that are not normally open to the public, and learn about the fact that there are many manufacturing industries in the city and boast excellent technical capabilities. This is an opportunity to reaffirm the appeal of Kohoku Ward.

Since fiscal 2010, Tsuzuki Ward   has been promoting the advanced technologies and original products of manufacturing companies located in the ward as “Made-in” to promote independent development and cooperation among small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the ward.

In Tozuka, there are many "manufacturing (manufacturing) companies" that support the city economy rooted in the community.
I want the local people to know more that Tozuka has a "manufacturing company" that has advanced technology and produces original products.
From such thoughts, we will hold the "Tozuka Monozukuri Boasting Exhibition".
This year, due to the impact of COVID-19, the event will be held online and at the venue.
