Recruitment of partner companies for joint research (examination for development of a unified management system for pipeline construction progress)
Last Updated March 21, 2024
City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau (hereinafter referred to as "Water Works Bureau") has decided on the following research in cooperation with private companies in order to solve technical issues in the water supply business. .
1 Joint Research Projects
Progress of pipeline construction Progress to develop a unified management system
2 Objectives of joint research
Water Works Bureau has ordered about 150 pipeline constructions annually as a project to upgrade and seismic retrofitting of aging pipes. Currently, it is difficult to manage the progress through Excel.
Through joint research, we will develop and introduce a system that can smoothly manage the progress of individual construction and cross-sectional management of multiple works instead of Excel management, and we expect the following effects to improve operational efficiency.
- It is possible to manage progress of individual construction and cross-sectional management of multiple constructions on a single system
- Anyone can operate intuitively without becoming an individual.
- If you look at the system, you can see the progress at a glance, making it easier to share information.
- It is possible to change, erase, rearrangement, and link related work.
- Easily add elements that can manage progress easily (schedule, amount, extension, etc.)
3 Contents of joint research
The details of the joint research are as follows.
(1) Adjustment of system specifications
We will adjust detailed specifications for the management items and functions of Water Works Bureau, including efficient aggregation method, input and output methods. Other details will be decided in coordination with the collaborators.
Water Works Bureau's desired management items are as follows.
- Amount management (expected execution of budget for the entire project, management of budget, design amount, contract amount, execution forecast, execution amount, and execution amount of each construction)
- Volume management (management of new construction and extension of removal for each diameter and pipe type during design and completion)
- Process management (process and predictive management assuming that there are multiple sites in each construction site*1 construction)
Water Works Bureau's desired functions are as follows.
- Functions that can output construction information entered into the system to a prescribed format.
- Functions that can import information in the prescribed format of Excel format into the system
(2) System development and renovation
(1) The system will be developed based on the specifications adjusted in the following sections.
The system will be modified to solve the issues obtained during the trial operation at any time.
(3) Manual preparation and introduction briefing session
Preparation of operation manuals will be held for staff.
4 Research expenses
The expenses to be borne by Water Works Bureau shall be 0 yen.
5 Research Schedule
6 Qualifications to apply
All of the following shall be satisfied.
