About safety net housing with rent assistance
Of the houses registered as safety net housing, we provide rent and rent debt guarantee fees for housing that meet certain requirements.

Main requirements for housing
- Being a house in Yokohama City
- The rent must be below a level that does not lose balance with the rent of the same type of house in the vicinity
- security deposit is less than three months' rent and does not charge key money or renewal fees.
- Being registered as a safety net house (dedicated house), etc.
Main requirements for tenants
- Monthly income of household ※1 must be less than 158,000 yen (210,004 yen * 2)
- Have not received housing assistance (welfare system) or housing security benefits (independence support system for the poor in life)
- Being resident or working in the city
※Monthly income of one household = (Total total income of all residents-total various deductions stipulated in the Public Housing Law Enforcement Ordinance) / 12
※2 (starting on April 21, 2023)
●①Children (people who are between the age of 18 and the first March 31) or a pregnant person) or 2 newlywed households (including spouses (including true marriage, etc.) Households within the year).
●This is a time-limited measure (planned) until 2026.

About rent reduction assistance
Because it is a system that provides assistance to lessor, it is necessary for the lessor to carry out the procedure.
In addition, subsidies are basically paid together quarterly later.
In addition, "in principle, recruit tenants" is a requirement, but if certain requirements are met, it is now possible to receive assistance while the current resident continues to live.

Subsidy grant application
This is a procedure to make "safety net house with rent subsidy".
Please submit the following documents to the Grant Office.

In addition, in order to receive assistance, the resident must apply separately for a “Resident Qualification Confirmation Application”.
Notification of move-in
Please submit the following documents to the Subsidy Secretariat immediately after the contract is concluded.
Even if a person who is not eligible for assistance moves in, it is necessary to submit it to understand the occupancy status.
In addition, if the current resident intends to receive assistance while continuing to live, you do not need to submit a move-in notification.

Performance report and subsidy payment
The results will be reported approximately quarterly, and the subsidy amount will be determined.
Subsidies are paid from the city via the subsidy secretariat.
