Safety Net Housing Watching Service Aid Project
In order to promote single elderly people entering private rental housing and enhance their housing support, we will implement the Safety Net Housing Watching Service Aid Project, which subsidizes the use of watching services used by single elderly people who have moved into safety net housing.
Last Updated September 18, 2024
What is the Safety Net Housing Watching Service Aid Project?
Yokohama City will assist a part of the service usage fee for businesses that provide watching services for single elderly people living in safety net housing (* 1).
※1: Safety net housing is a house registered as a house that accepts the entry of people who need to secure housing, such as the elderly and the disabled. For details, please refer to "How to register Safety Net Housing".
Project implementation period
From April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026
※For fiscal 2025 and beyond, the budget for fiscal 2025 must be voted on in Yokohama City Council.
Watching services to be subsidized
Easy
・Utilize IoT and other technologies to monitor residents without burden using rhythms and sensors.
・It is easy to install and initialize equipment and can be used promptly.
・Low burden of maintenance such as battery replacement
Security
・Watching at least once a day
・When there is an abnormality, be sure to contact the house manager, relatives, etc. by telephone or e-mail.
※Until now, it was intended for inexpensive services (initial costs: 10,000 yen (excluding tax) or less, monthly costs of 2,000 yen (excluding tax) or less), but in order to provide more diverse services, the system was revised on March 1, 2022, and no conditions were set for the price of eligible services.
Supplementary contents
For watching service providers, we will assist in reducing the initial cost and monthly cost related to the use of the watching service.
Initial cost | Monthly expenses | |
---|---|---|
Subsidized expenses | Construction costs related to the introduction of monitoring service equipment, initial registration fees, etc. | Monthly expenses related to the use of the monitoring service |
Amount of subsidy | Initial cost x 1/2 | Monthly cost x 1/2 x Number of Subsidized months (*2) |
