Safety Net Housing Watching Service Support Business

In order to promote the entry of single elderly people into private rental housing and enhance their housing support, the “Safety Net Housing Watching Service Aid Project” to assist the usage fee for watching services used by single elderly people who have moved into safety net housing.

What is the Safety Net Home Watch Service Assistance Business?

Yokohama City will assist a part of the service usage fee for businesses that provide monitoring services for single elderly people living in safety net housing (* 1).

Monitoring service assistance experimental project

※1: Safety net housing is a house registered as a house that accepts the entry of people who need to secure housing, such as the elderly and the disabled. For more information, please refer to "How to register Safety Net Housing".

Project implementation period

From April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026
※Implementation from fiscal 2024 will be subject to approval by the Yokohama City Council.

Watching service to be subsidized

Easy

・Utilizing technologies such as IoT and other technologies to monitor residents without burden on residents using rhythm and sensors
・It is easy to install and default settings of equipment and can be used promptly.
・Minimize the burden of maintenance such as battery replacement

Safety and security

・Watching at least once a day
・When there is an abnormality, always contact the house manager, relatives, etc. by telephone or e-mail.

※Until now, inexpensive services (initial cost: 10,000 yen (excluding tax) or less, monthly expenses of 2,000 yen (excluding tax) or less), but in order to provide a more diverse range of services, the system was revised on March 1, 2022, and no conditions were set for the price of eligible services.

For watching service providers, we will provide assistance to reduce the initial costs and monthly costs related to the use of the watching service.

Limit: 5,000 yen per unit

※2: The number of subsidized months is calculated on a monthly basis for the period during which the monitoring service is provided.

About recruitment of registered companies

In order to receive assistance, it is necessary for a service company to watch over in advance and receive registration of Yokohama City.

Recruitment as needed from April 1, 2023

Requirements for registered businesses

・Being a business operator that provides the target monitoring service
・To explain the outline of the business to the house manager and encourage them to register as a safety net house.
・If necessary, support the registration of safety net housing by the house manager.
・Promote as a house with a watching service so that single elderly people can move in
・Cooperate with requests for the creation of questionnaires and reports related to this project.

Knowledge and approach to housing managers

Please disseminate and explain the outline of the business, and encourage them to register the dwelling units you plan to apply as "safety net housing".

2Subsidy grant application (every fiscal year)

Please submit subsidy grant applications to Housing and Architecture Bureau Housing Policy Division before starting offer of watching service.
We examine contents and send subsidy grant decision letter of advice.

3Started provision of monitoring services※The target of the watching service must be a single elderly person living in a safety net house.
4Subsidy results report (by fiscal year)

Please submit subsidy results reports to Housing and Architecture Bureau Housing Policy Division by March 10 of each year.
We examine contents and send subsidy confirmation letter of advice.

5Subsidy request (for each fiscal year)

After receiving the subsidy confirmation letter, please submit the invoice immediately.


In addition, please carry out investigation by questionnaire for house manager and resident to perform effect verification of business.
