Application for building confirmation and completion inspection of building equipment, elevators and amusement facilities

Notice

1 Examination and prior consultation at the time of application for confirmation of elevators and amusement facilities

1-1 Fee (per unit)

Fees for building confirmation application, completion inspection, etc.

1-2 When new elevators (e.g. elevators, escalators, etc.) to existing buildings (e.g., necessary/required procedures)

A When constructing (expansion / renewal) elevators, etc. inside an existing building

  • Please report whether there is a building confirmation and inspection certificate of the existing building, whether there is an extension, change of use, large-scale renovation, etc.

※If you build a new platform on the passing floor in an existing elevator, you may need to apply for an extension.


(1) If you have an inspection certificate

Attachment of structural calculations, structural drawings, etc. of existing buildings accompanying the installation of elevators, etc.

(2) If you do not have an inspection certificate

(1)In addition to the materials, a report on the legality of existing buildings is attached.

※About report (attached to documents) of the above (1) (2), please perform in "report (elevator, etc.) based on rule of Building Standard Act Article 12 Clause 5".

B When adding elevators, etc. outside the existing building (when the extension under Article 6 of the Building Standards Act is accompanied)

  • Based on the provisions of Article 6 of the Building Standards Law, a separate building confirmation application procedure for extension is required.
  • Please submit "report based on rule of Building Standard Act Article 12 Clause 5 (repair such as existing elevators)" which attached repair contents, drawings before starting repair work.

※Depending on the content of the renovation, you may need to apply for a building confirmation, so please consult us in advance.


1-4 Request for the installation of open driving protection equipment

We recommend the installation of door-open driving protection devices for elevators that have been installed after obtaining a building confirmation before the revision of the Building Standards Law Enforcement Ordinance (before September 28, 2009).

When installing a door-opening protection device, please submit a notification in advance based on Article 12, Paragraph 5 of the Building Standards Act (see “1-3 necessary/required procedures when renovating existing elevators”).

1-5 Request for cooperation in collecting information on accidents and malfunctions in buildings and amusement facilities, as well as information on illegal elevators.

Despite being an elevator stipulated by the Building Standards Law, death or serious personal injury due to an elevator installed without undergoing a building confirmation / completion inspection based on the provisions of the Building Standards Law (hereinafter referred to as "illegal installation elevator") We accept information on illegal installation elevators based on the fact that accidents have occurred.

If you have obtained information about an illegal elevator or an elevator that is suspected to be installed close to you, please send us the information.

1-6 Requests for safe use and maintenance of elevators for exclusive use of parcels

From before, Yokohama City has been subject to periodic inspections and reports on all floor types and table types of parcel elevators exclusively for parcels based on Article 12, Paragraph 3 of the Building Standards Law and Article 7 of the Yokohama City Building Standards Law Enforcement Detailed Regulations. You.


This time, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Japan Building Equipment and Elevator Center, and the Japan Elevator Association have created a leaflet for owners and managers of elevators exclusively for parcels. We ask the owners and managers to see them and continue to use them safely and maintain them in the future.


If you are the owner or manager of the elevator for exclusive use of parcels and do not carry out periodic inspections or reports, consult with the manufacturing company or maintenance company and implement them as soon as possible.

2 Examination and prior consultation at the time of application for building confirmation of building equipment (smoke exhaust, ventilation, emergency lighting, plumbing and drainage facilities, etc.) of buildings under the jurisdiction of the design staff

(A building under the jurisdiction of the design charge is a building over 5 floors or more or more than 3,000 m2.)

2-1 Main documents of building equipment required when applying for each building certification

  • Smoke exhaust equipment (examination documents for natural smoke and mechanical smoke, examination documents for evacuation safety verification method, etc.)
  • Ventilation equipment (ventilation statement for living rooms, sick houses, toilets, etc., static pressure statement, equipment specifications, etc.)
  • Emergency lighting equipment (equipment specifications, layout drawings, etc.)
  • Lightning equipment (equipment specifications, floor plan, elevation, etc. indicating protection range)
  • Water supply and drainage equipment (load study report, piping layout drawing, system diagram, etc.)
  • Fire prevention block penetration treatment (floor plan, cross-section, etc. showing the penetration point of sections such as wiring, piping, duct, etc., materials indicating the penetration method, etc.)
  • Smoke detectors, etc. used for fire prevention compartments (equipment specifications, layout drawings, etc.)
  • Others

  • Fire protection compartments
    • Pit plot : Red
    • High-rise parcels : Blue
    • Area compartment : Orange
    • Heterogeneous use division : Purple
  • Major partition walls for walls and fire prevention : Pink
  • Smoke-proof sections (participation walls) : Green
  • Smoke-proof sections (drooling walls) : Green (dotted line)
  • Fire spread line : Yellow

(2) Type of smoke exhaust equipment (e.g. coloring)
