Approval of Energy Conservation Standards (Article 41)

• It is a certification that proves that the building currently being built conforms to the building energy consumption performance standard (energy saving standard).
• Once certified, you can display the conformity certification mark (e mark).

• Certified owners should perform appropriate maintenance so that the building will continue to conform to energy conservation standards.
• When you change owner, please submit owner change notice of building.

Standard procedures are applied to Yokohama City after receiving a technical examination on the certification criteria in advance by the "examination body".

≪Reviewing body≫
・Registered energy-saving judging body: Registered building energy consumption performance assessment organization prescribed in the Building Energy Conservation Law
・Registered Housing Performance Evaluation Facility: Registered house performance evaluation organization prescribed in the Act on Promotion of Housing Quality Assurance

※Regarding the entire building, of the following documents pertaining to energy-saving performance issued by a third-party organization at the time of new construction, those that prove that they are equal to or greater than conforming to the "Building Energy Consumption Performance Standards" , Will be treated as equivalent to those that have undergone a technical review by the examination body. However, only if the designer has confirmed that the standards still conform to the standards.

• Plan certification letter of advice (copy) such as low-carbon buildings
• Construction Housing Performance Evaluation Report (Copy)
• Notice of conformity (copy) for energy saving notification

• Precautions for Certification
  • The scope of certification is for the entire building.
  • Please apply when all construction is completed.
  • The applicant will be the owner of the building.
  • If you have undergone a technical review by an examination organization in advance, the certification fee in Yokohama City is free.
