Target building

When building, expanding or remodeling a building, the total floor area (in the case of extension or renovation, the floor area of the part pertaining to the extension or renovation) is 2,000 m2 or more as a "specific building" Notification of a consideration plan is required.

In addition, from April 1, 2012, buildings less than 2,000m2 including detached houses, can be notified arbitrarily if desired, from April 1, 2012.

• Buildings with a total floor area of 2,000 m2 or more "specified buildings"　→　Obligation to report
• Buildings with a total floor area of less than 2,000 m2 "non-specified buildings"　→　An optional notification can be made.
