Subjects of assistance
We assist a part of expense to install disaster prevention bed table and earthquake-resistant shelter for one living in wooden house in Yokohama-shi.
We have started accepting applications for subsidies for fiscal 2024.
Those after purchase and installation are not eligible. Please be sure to consult with us before purchasing and contracting!
- Target housing…Houses subject to subsidies shall meet all of the following requirements.
- Construction must have been completed after obtaining a building confirmation before May 31, 1981.
- A wooden house and the number of floors excluding the basement is 2 or less.
- A house where disaster prevention beds can be installed on the first floor.
- Being house provided for use of residence of person targeted for assistance.
- Do not receive grant of subsidy from Yokohama-shi for earthquake-resistant repair work.
- Yokohama-shi disaster prevention bed setting promotion assistance business guidelines such as Yokohama-shi disaster prevention beds, setting of earthquake-resistant shelter to prescribe in setting promotion assistance business guidelines such as Yokohama-shi disaster prevention bed setting.
- Target person…Individuals who have not installed disaster prevention beds, etc. in response to the grant of subsidies according to this summary, and who have no delinquency of city tax, and who live in the above target housing by themselves (excluding sole proprietors).
※Up to one application per house, and up to one application per person for "disaster prevention bed table" is limited to one application per person.
Subsidized amount
Limit: Disaster prevention bed table 200,000 yen, earthquake-resistant shelter 400,000 yen
※Of the expenses required for the purchase of disaster prevention beds, etc., only the cost of the equipment.

Submission of application documents
Please submit the following documents to the Building Disaster Prevention Section.
- Subsidy Grant Application (No. 1 style)
- Letter of Consent Form (No. 1 and 2)
- Copy of resident certificate
- House tax register registration certificate (property certificate) or real estate registration certificate of the building
※We issue house tax book registration matter certificate (property certificate) in each ward office.
(If there is more than one owner of the building, please have the "House Co-owner Name Table.")
※The real estate registration certificate is issued by the Legal Affairs Bureau. - Photo of the planned installation location
- Copy of quotes for disaster prevention beds, etc.
※Please submit a copy of the quotation stamped with the seal of the issued company. - [If the applicant and the house owner are different] A written consent of the owner
※If the applicant for the subsidy are different from the "owner" written on the "Property Certificate" or the real estate registration certificate, be sure to contact us in advance. - Identification documents (driver's license, passport, etc.)Please bring your own with you.

After document screening, etc., we will issue (mail) a “Subsidy Grant Decision Notice”.
Order and installation work from the installer
※Please be careful not to place orders and installation work before the “Subsidy Grant Decision Notice” is issued.
Installation work is carried out
Submit “Completion Report” etc.
When setting such as disaster prevention beds is finished, please submit the next documents to Building Disaster Prevention Section.
- Completion Report (No. 7 style) (PDF: 313KB)
- Photos after installation of disaster prevention beds, etc.
- Copy of contract
- Copies of documents proving the cost, such as invoices and receipts
After document screening, etc., we will issue (mail) a “Subsidy Amount Confirmation Notice”.
Submit “Subsidy Invoice”
- Subsidy bill (No. 9 style) (PDF: 312KB)
- Copy of the mailed "Subsidy Amount Confirmation Notice"
Receiving subsidies
Payment will be made to an account in the name of the applicant.
