For those of Residential Association condominiums where earthquake-resistant diagnosis is required

On November 25, 2013, the "Law Concerning the Promotion of Seismic Retrofitting of Buildings" was revised, and among roads that should secure traffic at the time of an earthquake disaster, a certain level along particularly important roads (PDF: 57KB) Seismic diagnosis was required for tall buildings (PDF: 22KB). Residential Association, an apartment that requires this seismic diagnosis, must report the results of the seismic diagnosis to the city by December 31, 2016. City announces the presence or absence of earthquake resistance based on this report contents.
If there is no report by the deadline, we may take orders to submit reports and take measures to disclose them in accordance with the law. Failure to comply with the order may result in a fine of up to 1,000,000 yen.

In order to carry out procedures based on the law, we will guide you through the basic flow from confirming that it is a condominium that requires diagnosis, applying for a subsidy system for earthquake-resistant diagnosis costs, and reporting the diagnosis results.

Residential Association, a condominium that requires diagnosis and is subject to seismic diagnosis without using the subsidy system of Residential Association or a condominium that has already undergone seismic diagnosis, requires the procedure described in “Report of Diagnosis Results” in Flow 8 below.

In order to carry out an earthquake-resistant diagnosis (precision diagnosis) using the subsidy system of the city and the country, be sure to consult in advance about necessary documents (quotations, bills of general meetings, etc.).
Acquisition of quotes, implementation of general meetings, etc.
Preparation of application
Based on the contents of the consultation in 2, obtain a quote, conduct a general meeting, etc., and prepare the application documents.
Under the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act
Submission of "Confirmation letter that it is a building subject to seismic diagnosis mandatory"
Please submit the following confirmation to city based on contents which we consulted in 1, 2.
(You can also submit it at the same time.)
