About revision of the regulations and enforcement regulations
In the fourth ordinary assembly in 2016, the regulations revision plan was approved and passed by member of the Diet proposal, and promulgated on December 22.
After public opinion solicitation accompanying the revision of the enforcement regulations, the revised ordinance and rules have been enforced since September 1, 2017.
The main contents of the revised regulations are as follows.

Outline of the Mandatory Consultation
Of the roads prescribed in Article 42, Paragraph 2 of the Building Standards Act, in land in contact with roads designated as road maintenance promotion routes,
Building owners who apply for building confirmation applications, etc. are "Consultation with Yokohama City on widening narrow roads" at least 30 days before the building confirmation application.
(Hereinafter referred to as “narrow meeting”) has become mandatory.
Procedures subject to prior narrow consultation
- Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the Building Standards Act and Article 6-2, Paragraph 1 (including cases where it is applied mutatis mutandis in Article 88, Paragraphs 1 and Paragraph 2 of the Act)
Application for confirmation based on the provisions of - Application for permission prescribed in Article 43, Paragraph 1 of the City Planning Act
- Application for permission prescribed in Article 44, Paragraph 1, Item 2 or Item 4 of the Building Standards Act
- Application for certification prescribed in Article 137-16 No. 2 of the Building Standards Law Enforcement Order
- Application for permission prescribed in Article 4-3, Paragraph 5, Item 1 of the Yokohama City Building Standards Ordinance
- Application for permission to prescribe in regulations Article 14 about restrictions such as buildings in area of Yokohama-shi city planning
