PFOS/PFOA for foam purifier

In principle, PFOS and PFOA are prohibited from being manufactured and imported under the Law Concerning Regulations on the Examination and Manufacturing of Chemical Substances, they may still be included in foam extingentists in fire extinguishing equipment.
If a foam disinfectant containing PFOS or PFOA leaks due to damage to this equipment, etc., it corresponds to emergency measures in the above-mentioned conservation Ordinance on the Living Environment of Yokohama City. It is necessary to take measures and report the details of the appropriate measures.
In addition, spillage of foam disinfectants including PFOS or PFOA associated with fire fighting activities does not fall under the emergency measures under the Ordinance, but please contact us to understand the spill into the environment. In that case, please let us know "date and time and place of use / spillage", "product name of foam disinfectant, content and content of PFOS or PFOA", "Survival agent usage and spillage amount", "Ambient conditions" etc.
Regarding PFOS and PFOA, various materials such as Q & A collection have been published in the country. For details, please refer to the “PFOS / PFOA” section in “Measures in case of accidents”.
