Last Updated February 5, 2025

1.Overview of Groundwater Collection Regulations

Excessive collection of groundwater causes groundwater damage such as land subsidence, depletion of groundwater, and salting, and causes great damage to our lives. In particular, it has been recognized that the main cause of land subsidence is excessive collection of groundwater.
Therefore, in order to subsidence or prevent land subsidence due to groundwater collection, groundwater regulations are being implemented in Yokohama City based on various laws and regulations.
