Handling of administrative documents accompanying the information disclosure system
Last Updated October 2, 2024
Information Disclosure
In February 2000, Yokohama City enacted the "Ordinance on Disclosure of Information Held by Yokohama City", stating respect for citizens' right to know, clearly stating the accountability of the city's municipal administration, and seeking disclosure of administrative documents. It guarantees a wide range of people the right to ask.
If an administrative document such as the registration form is requested to be disclosed in accordance with the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act and the Ordinance on conservation, etc. in Yokohama City Living Environment, in principle, it will be subject to disclosure.
However, the following information, such as information that identifies a specific individual, may not be disclosed.
- Information that cannot be made public under the provisions of laws and regulations
- Information about an individual that can identify a specific individual (personal name, personal Address, personal seal impression, personal seal, etc.)
- Information related to a corporation that may harm the legitimate interests of a corporation (name of a business partner, corporate know-how, etc.)
- Information that may interfere with the protection of human life and property and public safety (seal impression in registered seal, seal impression in the corporate representative company, storage location of chemicals, etc.)
- Information related to deliberations, examinations, or consultations that may unfairly impair the neutrality of decision-making or unfairly cause confusion or disadvantage to citizens.
- Information that may interfere with the proper execution of office work in the city
About precautions when creating registration form
In preparing the registration form, you may not disclose any information that may harm the rights, competitive position, or other legitimate interests of a corporation or individual, so please make the registration form clearly so that it is not disclosed. In particular, pay close attention to those that contain technical know-how, such as patent information and building drawings.
