Guidance on groundwater pollution countermeasures

Yokohama City provides guidance to persons responsible for groundwater pollution based on the ordinance on conservation, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Ordinance") in Yokohama City Living Environment.

Notification regarding groundwater pollution countermeasures

Those who are conducting business on land that is deemed to be the cause of groundwater pollution, conduct a survey on the cause of groundwater contamination based on Article 61-2 of the Ordinance. May be instructed. In such a case, the Company shall endeavor to report the cause of groundwater pollution to Yokohama City.
In addition, based on the ordinance Article 61-3, measures to purify the quality of groundwater must be taken, and in that case, it is necessary to submit a groundwater purification measure result report to Yokohama City.

Groundwater purification standards

Ordinance enforcement regulations separate table 15 (outside site), we establish groundwater purification standards for underground penetration. For points that exceed the groundwater purification standards, guidance is provided to the cause of pollution based on the ordinance.

  1. "Not detected" means that when measured by the method listed in the measurement method column, the result is below the quantitative limit of the method.
  2. For dioxins, it applies only to those pertaining to establishments that are subject to the dioxin regulation standards specified in Appendix 11.
