Illustration
Hama-kun's illustrations were designed by staff members of the Fire Bureau, inspired by the fact that character dogs are used for fire prevention awareness projects and posters in the United States. Dogs are widely and deeply blended into human life, and that the dog's agility, wiseness, vitality, and loyalty of dogs are reflected on the image of firefighting, and to give citizens a sense of closeness.
It was reborn as a current illustration in 2008.
