　Tsuzuki Ward   is located in the northern part of Yokohama City and was established on November 6, 1994 through the reorganization of administrative districts. It borders Kohoku Ward in the east, Aoba Ward to the west, Midori Ward to the south, and Kawasaki in the north.
　The northwestern part of Yokohama City was formerly called "Tsuzuki-gun" from the Nara period to 1939. The name of Tsuzuki is derived from this historic place name and the meaning of the new "Kizukuchi".
　The population has continued to increase steadily from 119,000 at the beginning of birth, reaching about 214,000 (as of April 2022), the eighth largest ward out of 18 wards, and the average age is the oldest in the city. It is a young ward.
　In the cityscape, the ward general government building, hospital, police department, post office, financial institutions, etc. are concentrated in the town center district, parks and green spaces such as Tsuzuki Chuo Park are maintained, and the municipal subway blue line and Green Line are maintained.
