In addition, the Yokohama City Fire Prevention Ordinance requires that a self-defense fire brigade with the personnel and equipment necessary for self-defense firefighting activities be organized and necessary training be conducted for objects of a certain scale.
Unlike a private home, a business establishment is a facility where a large number of people gather and enter and exit, so once a disaster occurs, it is likely to become a large-scale disaster with a danger of human life and may have a significant social impact. There is.
For this reason, not only the defense of self-facility, but also the cooperation with the adjacent self-defense fire department (unit) organization has become a great force for regional disaster prevention.
Every year around October, in Fire Academy, Yokohama, self-defense fire brigades from representatives of each ward gather to compete for daily training results.
