City of Yokohama, Fire Bureau will introduce an automatic heart massager to all rescue squads to further improve the life-saving effect.

Background of introduction
In the "Response to Cardiopulmonary arrest patients with cardiopulmonary arrest due to the spread of new coronavirus infection (Guidelines for Response by Fire Service)" by the Japan Society of Clinical Emergency Medicine, etc. We will introduce the equipment and materials based on the fact that the use of automatic heart massager is indicated.
Expected effects
In addition to strengthening infection prevention measures, it is expected that the life-saving effect by constant effective chest compressions, and reduce the physical burden on rescue workers, such as preventing back pain injury.
