Major Measures for Condominium Disaster Prevention

Let's try to disseminate furniture and office equipment to prevent falls.

On higher floors, slow shaking can last very long.
Thoroughly prevent furniture and office equipment from falling over.

Stock up in apartments and buildings

If the elevator stops, it will take a long time to recover, making it difficult to get up and down, transporting goods, and leaving homes and offices isolated.
Prepare food, drinking water, toilet packs, etc. that are needed in the event of a disaster on a daily basis.

Let's create a voluntary disaster prevention system (let's create a disaster prevention organization in the town)

Stopping elevators and public utilities, such as electricity, water and gas, can cause various obstacles to daily life.
Discuss disaster prevention manuals, disaster drill, and daily preparations at condominium residents, Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations, Residential Association, etc., and prepare them to ensure safety, quickly extinguish fires, and cooperate with family members such as safety confirmation and evacuation shelter.

Let's try to install P-wave earthquake control operation equipment.

A P-wave earthquake control operation device is a device in which a sensor detects the initial wave of an earthquake, automatically stops the elevator to the nearest floor, and safely evacuates passengers. Installation is mandatory for elevators newly established after 2009, but if not installed, there are elevators that can be installed by renovation, etc., so let's consider installing equipment.

If an earthquake occurs...

If you feel shaking in the elevator, first press all the buttons on the destination floor and make sure you get off at the first stop floor.
 1 building restoration rule
Elevator restoration will be carried out by maintenance staff of the maintenance company. In order to recover functions as soon as possible in as many buildings as possible, only one building will be restored and other buildings will be restored, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

As for the details about elevator, please see homepage of general incorporated association Japan elevator association (outside site) (outside site).
