In order to protect yourself and your family in the event of an earthquake, it is important to be prepared on a daily basis, such as taking measures to prevent furniture from falling.

If not prepared, not only the injuries caused by falling furniture, but also the objects placed on the furniture fall on electrical appliances, etc., and the coating of the power cord may be broken, causing a fire.
In addition, there is a risk that flammable objects fall into the outlet, causing a fire.

Preventing furniture from falling is the basis of reduce disaster damage's action. Fix the furniture as a daily preparation, and place the furniture in a safe place in case the furniture falls down.

In addition, let's work on installing seismic breakers that are effective in countermeasures against energized fires.

In Yokohama-shi, we perform installation of fall prevention equipment free of charge to support approach of furniture fall prevention measures. (The equipment fee will be borne by the applicant.)

All cohabitants must be one of the following items 1 to 6:

1. 65 years old or older
2. Have been issued a certificate of the physically disabled
3. I have been issued a notebook of love (nursing notebook)
4. Have been issued a Mental Handicapped Health and Welfare Handbook
5. Received certification for nursing care or support required by the Nursing Care Insurance Law
6. Junior high school students and younger

※Households with "graduate from junior high school" to "under 64 years old" are not eligible for this system unless they fall under items 2 to 5.

• Preliminary surveys and installation work will be carried out by the Association of Yokohama City Architects.
• The mounting staff will visit by car to bring the necessary equipment for the work.
• At the time of investigation and work, please be present with the applicant.
• In order to confirm that you are the target household at the time of the first visit, please prepare documents that show your date of birth, a certificate of disability, a long-term care insurance card, etc. (You do not need to submit a copy.)
• In addition to having you prepare the equipment yourself, you can also prepare it at the Yokohama City Architects' Association.
• You may not be able to install the fall prevention equipment you have prepared yourself. Please contact us in advance.
• In principle, up to two furniture can be installed on your behalf. (Please contact us for the third and subsequent questions.)
• It may take some time from application to installation.
• The contents of the application will be shared with the contractor's Association of Yokohama Architects.
• Those who have been installed using this business in the past cannot apply again.

• 500 cases per year

※If the number of applications exceeds 500 grants, the application will be closed regardless of the application period.
