Along with the sending of the Long-term Care Insurance Premium Amount Decision Notice, we called on about 942,000 people in the city to pay attention to special fraud! ! !

In 2023, 933 special frauds such as oleores fraud occurred in Yokohama City, causing damage of approximately 2,072 million yen. (Provisional value) There are many damages caused by "oleores fraud", which tricks sons and grandchildren or tricks cash, and "refund fraud", which leads to ATMs and operates in pretending to be refund procedures. Many of these scams begin when you answer the phone, and it is effective to set them as answering machines and prevent them from answering the phone immediately. Therefore, we enclosed a leaflet calling for measures against special fraud in the Long-term Care Insurance Premium Amount Notice and called for caution.

Flyer design

Unlike conventional educational methods, we have adopted a design that uses "nudges" that focus on human behavior and characteristics and encourages people to take desirable actions without force.
In preparing the flyer, Mr. Takahito Shimada, Director of the Crime Prevention Research Office, Science Police Research Institute, and YBiT, Yokohama City Behavior Design Team, cooperated.

◆Yokohama City Action Design Team YBiT (Wibit)

Nudge point

◆Nadge point 1
"Deposits and savings fraud" (as of April 2024), which is the most damaged in the city, claims to be a staff member of the city hall or ward office, and confirms and replaces cash cards because there is a payment of new benefits and refunds such as medical expenses. It is a trick to visit your home with an excuse such as the need for replacement and trick your cash card.
At the time of receiving a scam call, I don't know if it's a scam call. Imagine the situation close to the actual "savings and savings fraud" fraudulent phone call, and at first glance, you can not understand the flyer about fraud because you realize that it is difficult to notice fraud unless you are alert before taking the phone I have a design.

◆Nadge point 2
The actions that the reader can easily do immediately are specifically shown, not the expression "do not".

◆Nadge point 3
It clearly shows the merits of action that scammers hate recording and hang up.
It describes an altruistic motivation that setting an answering machine can trigger an acquaintance to set an answering machine.
