This is an introduction of the spots in [Tsurugamine area] of Asahi Walk 2024.

Tsurugamine Shopping Street
There are a wide variety of about 120 stores along the water supply path from Tsurugamine Ekimae Arcade to Atsugi Kaido on the Sotetsu Main Line.

Participation prizes can be exchanged at the 30th window on the 3rd floor of the main building.

Prince Shigetada Monument, Sakasa Yatake
When Shigetada Hatakeyama hit the arrow, he said, "If you are right, you will have branches and leaves on this arrow and grow." It is said that these arrows took root, increased by two each year, and continued to grow.

Yakuoji, Rokutsuzuka
There are six mounds, including Shigetada Hatakeyama, which are said to have buried 134 Clan Party. The spirit of Shigetada is enshrined at Yakuoji, a sacred temple, and a memorial service is held every year on June 22, the anniversary of his death.

Tsurugamine Shrine
It is a small shrine protected by people in Neighborhood Associations, Tsurugamine Honmachi. It is enshrined on a hill in Tsurugamine, and there is a palanquin mound nearby.

Palanquin mound
Shigetada Hatakeyama's wife, Kiku-no-mae, was notified of the battle and rushed in. However, when I heard the death of Shigetada in this area, I was sad and committed suicide. It is said that the palanquins were buried in that place.

Shirone Park
In addition to the open space and playground equipment, there is also a ground, and public facilities in the ward such as libraries and district centers are adjacent.

Katabira River Waterway
Completed in March 1997. This facility discharges water from Katabira River up to 350 m3 per second at the time of rising water and discharges water to Yokohama Port via Aratama River near Yokohama-sta.-nishiguchi.

Shirane Community Care Plaza, Yokohama City ★Participation prize exchange
This facility is engaged in various initiatives as a familiar welfare and health base so that everyone, including the elderly, children, and people with disabilities, can live in the community with peace of mind. Participation prize can be exchanged.

Monument to renovation of Shirane Village Road Bridge
In the past, Katabira River had a lot of bends, was often flooded, and the bridge was washed away, so Edo merchant Shigezaemon Sakurai invested his private property and renovated the road bridge with the cooperation of residents. It is a monument that also serves as a memorial tower and is a cultural property designated by Yokohama City.

Katabira River Waterfront Green Road
This park utilizes the old riverbed of Katabira River. Located a 5-minute walk from Tsurugamine Station on the Sotetsu Main Line, you can enjoy the babbling of the brook and nature observation.

Tsurugamine Inari Shrine
It is a small shrine protected by the people of Tsurugamine Neighborhood Association. Located in Tsurugamine Park, you can pass through the shopping street from Tsurugamine Station, pass through the residential area on your right through the bus terminal, and see the other side of Katabira River.
