Activity introduction
Hokatsu Asahi-kun
Health activity promotion member is appointed by the mayor by recommendation of Neighborhood Associations Neighborhood Association.
We carry out health promotion activities such as lifestyle-related diseases prevention in the community as a facilitator of community health promotion activities and as a partner in Yokohama City.
It is expected to carry out activities to support the health of local people as a promoter in the area of "Third Health Yokohama 21" which is a guideline for health promotion measures in Yokohama City.
Currently, approximately 324 people are commissioned in Asahi Ward (as of April 1, 2024).
Passive smoking prevention and smoking cessation campaign
Along with World No Tobacco Day, we are conducting educational activities, such as distributing flyers on passive smoking prevention and smoking cessation at the ward office.
Health fair
At the “Health Fair” held in conjunction with the inhabitant of a ward festival, we check the health of the inhabitants of the ward using BC checker (vascular age check), body fat meters, sphygmomanometer, etc.
Publishing of the newsletter "Smile"
We publish annual newsletter "Hohoemi" which summarizes the activities of the Asahi Ward Health Activity Promotion Committee and activities in each district.

District Activities
In addition to the overall activities of the Asahi Ward Health Promotion Committee, we conduct activities in each district.
- Walking activities
- Health promotion activities (gymnastics classes, etc.)
- Passive smoking prevention and smoking cessation campaign
- Cooperation with various Health and Welfare Center projects (cancer screening, baby classroom, community welfare health planning, etc.)
- Cooperation with various organizations, such as liaison meetings
- Hosting district workshops
