Introduction of Activities
Hokatsu Asahi-kun
The health promotion staff will be commissioned by the mayor on the recommendation of Neighborhood Associations Neighborhood Association.
As a promoter of local health promotion activities and as a partner in the health measures of Yokohama City, we will conduct health promotion activities such as lifestyle-related diseases prevention in the community.
It is expected to carry out activities to support the health of local people as a promoter in the area of "Third Health Yokohama 21", which is a guideline for health promotion measures in Yokohama City.
Currently, approximately 324 people are commissioned in Asahi Ward (as of April 1, 2024).
Passive Smoking Prevention and Non-Smoking Campaign
In line with World No Tobacco Day, we are conducting educational activities such as distributing flyers on prevention of passive smoking and smoking cessation at the ward office. .
Health fair
At the “Health Fair” held in conjunction with the inhabitant of a ward festival, we use BC checkers (vascular age check), body fat meters, sphygmomanometers, etc. to check the health of inhabitants of the ward.
Publishing the newsletter "Smile"
We publish a newsletter once a year, "Hohoemi," which summarizes the activities of the Asahi Ward Health Promotion Committee and activities in each district.

District Activities
In addition to the overall activities of the Asahi Ward Health Promotion Committee, we also conduct activities in each district.
- Walking activities
- Health promotion activities (gymnastics classes, etc.)
- Passive Smoking Prevention and Non-Smoking Campaign
- Cooperation in various Health and Welfare Center projects (cancer screening, baby classroom, community welfare health plan, etc.)
- Cooperation with various organizations such as community support liaison meetings
- Holding district workshops
