What is a Dementia Supporter?
Aiming to create a town where people can live with peace of mind in a familiar area even if they have dementia, understand dementia correctly, do not have prejudice, warmly watch people with dementia and their families, and work as much as they can. That is. "Dementia supporters" do not do anything special. Watch and help gently when there are people with dementia nearby. People with dementia and their families can live with peace of mind with a warm understanding of others.
Each person can help each person.
●Communicate knowledge about dementia learned in the course to friends and family.
●Try to understand the feelings of people with dementia and their families.
●As a friend who lives in the same town, speak and help as much as possible.
What do you do with a dementia supporter training course?
Course content (example):
・What is dementia?
・How to interact with people with dementia
・The feelings of the family of people with dementia
・Mechanisms and consultation desks that support people with dementia
・What can be done as a dementia supporter
dispatch lecture/off site lecture Time:
About 90 to 120 minutes
Target:
elementary school student students at elementary and junior high schools and high schools, employees of customer service stores, staff at public facilities, officers and members of Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations, volunteer groups, etc.
Location:
Please provide the place to attend. (In principle, within Tsuzuki Ward )
Lecturer:
Dementia Caravan Mate (Dementia Caravan Mate is a volunteer lecturer who conducts "Dementia Supporter Training Course". As of the end of March 2021, 214 mates have been active in Tsuzuki Ward .
If you take the course, you will receive a guidebook and an orange card free of charge!

If you would like to have a dementia supporter training course, please use the following dispatch lecture/off site lecture application form or via the Yokohama City Electronic Application System.
※Please apply at least 2 months before the desired date of the event due to preparation.
※The date and time are, in principle, from 9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. Please contact us for details on weekends and holidays and after hours.
※You can also accept applications directly over the phone. Please feel free to contact us.
