In the “River Town” centered on the Tsurumi River, the use of factories to houses is progressing, making it a town where industry, commerce, and housing are mixed. The Tsurumi River is an internationally rich area where many foreigners live, and the Tsurumi River has become a symbol of the Tsurumi Ward that many inhabitants of the ward take a walk.
In the seaside area of the seaside area, RIKEN Yokohama Campus, a world-class research facility for life sciences, and the Yokohama City Industry-Academia Collaborative Research Center, which promotes industry-academia collaboration, have been developed in the Suehiro area.
