　Tsurumi Ward had 10Naka Ward, Kohoku Ward and Nishi Ward. The number of employees is 112,317, the fifth highest number after Nishi Ward, Naka Ward, Kohoku Ward and Kanagawa Ward.

　Tsurumi Ward's number of privately owned offices is wholesale and retail, construction, lodging, food and beverage services, and medical and welfare.
　In Yokohama, there are 6,013 manufacturing sites, accounting for 4.2% of the composition ratio, while Tsurumi Ward's manufacturing industry accounts for 7.2%. About one-eighth of Yokohama's manufacturing facilities are located in Tsurumi Ward, and Tsurumi Ward has a high percentage of manufacturing.

　Tsurumi Ward has supported Japan's heavy industry as the core of the Keihin Industrial Zone. The number of business establishments peaked at 1,096 offices in 1973, decreased to 323 in 2020, and the number of employees exceeded 60,000. It is about one-fourth compared to the late 30s, but still occupies an important position in the industry in Yokohama.
