Last update date September 7, 2023

Evacuation concept (if you feel in danger, start evacuation)

Evacuation to a safe place (horizontal evacuation)

Evacuate to evacuation sites, nearby hills, or relatives' homes outside the landslide warning area.
Not all evacuation sitess will be opened. Before evacuating, check which evacuation sites has been established on the website.
Also, unlike in the event of an earthquake, there is no provision of goods in principle in the event of a storm or flood. Please evacuate after bringing your own exhibit that you think is necessary.

Vertical evacuation

Evacuate to the second floor or higher of a sturdy building, or to a nearby high building

Waiting in a safe place in the building (indoor evacuation)

Behavior when evacuating outdoors is rather dangerous, such as at night or when danger is imminent

Evacuation on a safe route

Avoid roads along rivers and steep slopes (cliffs) and evacuate
Due to heavy rain, gutters and manhole covers may come off, so be careful not to fall and stay away.

Precautions for evacuation

・If you evacuate by private car, you will not be able to park in evacuation sites. Please park in a private parking lot near evacuation sites. In case of vehicle evacuation, pay close attention to road conditions.
・Bring your own food, water, towels, etc. to evacuation sites.
・We recommend that you use as few items to take out immediately (radio, drinking water, flashlights, pharmaceuticals, baby supplies, masks, etc.). In addition, it is recommended that both hands can fit in an open object, such as a rucksack.

About evacuation with pets

When evacuating with you, please bring a cage or carry bag for pets. In evacuation sites, evacuees and pets are required to spend time in separate places.
In addition, there is no stockpiling of pet supplies, so please prepare your own exhibit.
In evacuation sites, we ask that you follow the instructions of the staff.
※Please see the following link for details on pet measures (flood and flood damage) at the time of disaster.
