Policy 1 Creation of local community bases and welfare bases that are easy for everyone to use

◆Background

  • Sakae Ward's average age is the fifth highest among 18 wards.Aging rate of agingIt is the largest growth in the city.
  • Although various local activities are actively conducted, there are some areas where local community facilities are lacking or access to facilities is inconvenient.

Specific Initiatives

4-1-1 Enhancement of functions and improved access to local community facilities and welfare facilities

Based on the needs of inhabitants of a ward, we will enhance the function as a base for local activities at various local community facilities and welfare facilities such as district centers and community care plazas. In addition, along with the reorganization of bus routes, we will consider routes that circulates through public facilities and improve access to each facility.

4-1-2 Enhanced functions as a local community base and welfare base around Hongodai Station

Around Hongodai Station, which is the center of the ward, various public utilities and welfare and health facilities are concentrated. We will position these as a community base and welfare base in Sakae Ward, and will enhance its functions as a place for exchange and support the diverse activities of residents.

4-1-3 Expansion of local community bases through effective use of existing facilities

We will work to expand our functions as a local community base where residents can easily drop in, such as school facilities and the Neighborhood Associations Building in Neighborhood Association.

Policy 2 Formation of local communities where inhabitants of the ward interact and support each other

  • In ward, local activities are actively conducted on various themes. On the other hand, some people say that they cannot participate in local activities due to reasons such as "no time to work" or "lack of information".
  • With the declining birthrate and the diversification of working styles, there is a need to create an environment where everyone can raise children with peace of mind.
  • Along with government measures, it is required that each inhabitant actively participates in local activities as the main character of the area and solve various local issues.

Specific Initiatives

4-2-1 Create a system that facilitates participation in local activities

Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations activities, creating a database of information on local activities, and enhancing information dissemination, increasing opportunities for residents to learn about local activities. We will consider creating a system that makes it easy to participate in local activities.

4-2-2 Creating a child-rearing support environment that supports each other in the community

With the declining birthrate and aging population, we will develop and expand childcare facilities to promote the residence of the younger generation, and consider the effective use of municipal land and existing facilities as a measure to support the development of places to stay in elementary school student after school and temporary childcare facilities. We will strive to create an environment that facilitates child care.

In addition, we support child care network supporting each other in area and the making of place where we can talk, interchange, information exchange of child care casually.

4-2-3 Safe, secure, and comfortable town development through cooperation with local communities

In addition to supporting safe community development activities in the community, such as observing traffic laws and regulations in school zones, improving traffic morals, and removing abandoned objects on the road, we will promote community development that takes into account the anti-crime program that does not create blind spots. At the same time, as anti-crime program measures for children, we will implement various measures with the cooperation of shops and ordinary households.

In addition, in order to realize a comfortable and easy-to-living town, we will actively provide support for beautification of local communities and efforts to prevent littering and illegal dumping.

Through daily communication between residents, we aim to improve the awareness of local residents' lives and aim to be a safe, secure and comfortable town where the entire inhabitant of the ward helps each other.

Policy 3 Creating easy-to-living town through cooperation of inhabitants of a ward, company, administration

  • In order for everyone, including the elderly and the disabled, to live independently in the community, barrier-free facilities are required not only in public facilities but also in stores.
  • The shopping district is expected to be activated as a place for familiar living services and as a core of local communities.
  • In order to promote town development that is easy to live, it is necessary for inhabitants of a ward, company, administration to cooperate positively.

Specific Initiatives

4-3-1 Promotion of barrier-free facilities throughout the ward

Elevators and escalators will be installed in conjunction with the opening of the north exit ticket gate at Ofuna Station, and improvements will be made to an easy-to-use station facilities.

In addition, we will actively promote barrier-free facilities in public facilities such as parks and roads, call for the promotion of barrier-free facilities in stores and communities, and strive to maintain an environment in a town that is easy for everyone to use.

4-3-2 Community development through cooperation between local communities and shopping districts

Since the shopping district is a place for living services that are familiar to the inhabitants of the ward, we will consider creating a town that is easy to live in cooperation with local communities and shopping streets.
