What is evacuation area?
evacuation area has been designated as a place to evacuate to protect the lives and bodies of citizens from radiant heat and smoke when fires occur frequently and spread.
Current evacuation area (from April 1, 2020)
- Please refer to the "List of Evacuation Area Allocations" below for details of district allocation for each evacuation area.
※About area where fear of large-scale fire spread fire is low (PDF: 145KB)
Areas where there is a low risk of large-scale fire spread are considered to be extremely unlikely to cause large-scale fire spread, and even if the evacuation area is not designated, life safety is ensured by evacuation actions at the discretion of residents.
Others
- evacuation area is defined by the disaster preparedness plan, Yokohama, which was created based on the Basic Law on Disaster Countermeasures.
- evacuation area is a place to evacuate during a large-scale fire. evacuation sites is a place where local residents gather to temporarily evacuate to evacuation area and to evacuate to Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations.
