Evacuation is about avoiding difficulties, and going to evacuation sites is not the only evacuation behavior. Please consider evacuation sites in advance, such as "evacuation at home" when ensuring safety at home or keeping a safe relative or friend's home as an evacuation destination.

Opening Criteria and Location

Sakae Ward will issue the evacuation warning and otherevacuation sites based on the following three situations:

1 evacuation sites will be opened when evacuation of elderly people (alert level 3) or evacuation warning (Vigilance Level 4) is issued.

2 When evacuation of elderly people against earth and sand (Vigilance Level 3), evacuation warning (Vigilance Level 4) or the southern part of Yokohama City, a evacuation sites will be opened immediately near the area covered by evacuation warning.

About evacuation with pets

Evacuation of pets is the evacuation of evacuation sites with pets in the event of a disaster.

Preparation for about one day


Since it is very difficult to find a temporary storage destination after a disaster occurs, consider and prepare various evacuation behaviors in advance, such as (1) vertical or horizontal evacuation to a safe place, (2) breeding at a temporary storage location, and (3) evacuation to evacuation sites.

2 Precautions for evacuation


evacuation sites is used by various people, such as those who are not good at animals or those who are allergic to animals. Please observe the following rules in evacuation sites when keeping your pet.

・evacuation sites does not have a stockpile of pets. Please bring all necessary items such as cages, food, pet sheets, medicine and other necessary items.
・Pets should be kept in a cage at the designated temporary breeding area. In evacuation sites, people and pets are separated, and pets are not allowed to be brought into the space where evacuees are located.
・◦ In order to reduce the burden on pets as much as possible, consider using pet hotels and evacuation to relatives and acquaintances' homes in advance.

Pets available in evacuation sites are dogs, cats, and other small animals (birds, rabbits, hamsters, etc.). Specific animals (dangerous animals), animals designated as specified invasive organisms, similar animals, large animals and animals requiring special breeding facilities cannot be accepted by evacuation sites due to safety management.
