The season changed rapidly from the arrival of autumn, and on December 14th, the first snow was observed in Yokohama.
On a clear morning, you can feel the arrival of a full-fledged winter in the cold air and the clear sky.
In April this year, the Kanagawa University Minatomirai Campus was opened in Nishi Ward. Kanagawa University is promoting collaboration with local governments, companies, and local residents, and has started a platform project as an initiative to achieve the SDGs through open innovation. As the first step of this platform project, a press presentation was held on December 15 at the Minato Mirai Campus of Kanagawa University, where industry, government, academia, and citizens work together to solve the environmental, economic and social issues faced by industries affected by the spread of COVID-19, was introduced.
In the future, Nishi Ward Office plans to promote reading activities and the SDGs.
In addition, on December 17th, Hikone City Tourism Exchange Division, Narita, visited Nishi Ward Office.
Hikone City signed a memorandum of understanding with Nishi Ward in 2015, and this visit to Nishi Ward Office was held on December 18th and 19th at Pacifico-yokohama North. This "Castle EXPO" was also held with many visitors due to the high interest in the castle, which has become a hot topic recently, and this event was held with thorough measures against the new coronavirus.
It has become a synonymous with the busy season, but we hope that the inhabitants of the ward will have a healthy and smiling New Year.
