For those who have a dog
Last update date March 16, 2023
Keeping good manners and living with dogs more fun
In Yokohama City, the responsibility of the owner is stipulated in the "Yokohama City Ordinance on the Protection and Management of Animals".
Keep good manners and live with your dog.
What I want the owner to protect
Don't forget to pay attention to those around you
In recent years, many complaints about domestic dogs have been received. In particular, it is noticeable due to the disposal of manure during a walk and the squealing of dogs.
Owners must be managed so as not to disturb others due to the squeals and smells of animals. In addition to performing basic discipline, be sure to attach a lead (towing line) when taking a walk, and properly dispose of manure.
When your dog bites a person ...
If your dog bites a person, you must notify Health and Welfare Center by the day after you know the fact. You must also have a veterinarian health check-up within two days to see if you have rabies.
Registration and rabies vaccination
Domestic dogs are required to be registered. Dogs older than 90 days must complete the registration procedure (registration is done once in a lifetime).
