Formulation of Nishi Ward People's Reading Activities

Based on result of inhabitant of a ward opinion offer that we carried out from November 19, 2014 to December 18, and result of hearing that we performed for reading-related facilities in ward, we devised "Nishi Ward citizen book-reading activity promotion target" .

We provide opportunities for a wide range of generations, from children to adults, to get acquainted with reading in various situations.

1. Efforts to become familiar with reading from infancy
2. Initiatives for elementary and junior high school students' reading activity promotion business
3. Training and Support for Volunteers
4. Strengthening reading activities using existing businesses
5. Publicity of reading activities in which each facility cooperates

We plan to interact and cooperate with facilities and groups in Nishi Ward to increase opportunities to get acquainted with reading.

2. Enhancement of reading activities utilizing City Library's group lending and group lending business
3. Promote information sharing among school libraries in Nishi Ward

It conveys the charm of Nishi Ward through reading.
