Progress of Creation of "Reliable Card" and Points of Initiatives
Last update date November 7, 2018
Until the "Reliable Card" is issued
In Nishi Ward, efforts to distribute "safety cards" led by local welfare officers and children's committees have been successful as an opportunity to visit elderly people living alone.
In 2012, the Ward Union Neighborhood Associations / Neighborhood Association Liaison Council, the Ward Consumer Affairs Committee Children's Committee, the Ward Japan National Council of Social Welfare Subcommittee, Ward Senior Clubs, Ward Senior Club Federation, etc. At the "Reliable Card Study Group" consisting of members of related organizations, such as the style and distribution targets were reviewed. The name has been changed to "Reliable Card", and "Creating a face-to-face relationship" through the distribution of cards throughout the region is spreading in each district.
Points of Initiatives
Point 1
The distribution activities of the "Reliable Cards" are transmitted to the elderly and disabled people as a message of "watching over the entire community," and the effect of increasing communication on a daily basis.
Point 2
The number of people who tend to be isolated and acquainted with each other is increasing through efforts throughout the region and in cooperation with groups. This kind of "relaxing watching" leads to ensuring that each and every person who lives can live with peace of mind.
Point 3
Even those who are currently using the "Reliable Card" may change their physical and mental condition over time, or more people may need new help. In order to make use of the card in an emergency, it is important that the watcher continue to work on it, such as checking the situation. Continuing the relationship created by distributing the card after that, the face-to-face relationship will be deepened.
