※Items submitted after the deadline will be subject to usage adjustment in the next month, so be sure to complete the procedure with plenty of time.

If you have a resident certificate in Naka Ward, Yokohama at the time of application, you must apply to each municipality through Naka Ward Children and Families Support Division. Please check the deadline, entrance requirements, and required documents in advance with the municipality where the desired nursery school is located, and apply at least one week before the deadline.

If you need special assistance, such as a child with a disability or a child who needs medical care, please make a reservation in advance by telephone and consult at the counter. It may be necessary to provide written opinions from related medical institutions or conduct trial childcare.

If you still need proof of suspension ("Pending Certificate") in this year's application, you will need to apply at the ward Children and Families Support Division.

In principle, the application will be made at the counter unless it is unavoidable. Please bring your identification documents (driver's license, etc.) to the 54th window on the 5th floor of Children and Families Support Division Naka Ward.
If you wish to issue it by mail due to unavoidable circumstances, please enclose the following documents and mail it.

・Reply envelope (with Address's name and stamp attached)
・Copy of identity verification documents (My number card, driver's license, passport, etc.) of the certified parent

This certificate can be issued only if it is suspended as a result of usage adjustment.
The start date of issuing the certificate varies depending on the month in which certification is required, so please confirm the start date by telephone after the application deadline for the desired start month (approximately after 10th).

• Those who are on hold will be automatically subject to usage adjustment from the following month until the use is decided. (valid until March 2026)

Preschool children who are not enrolled in licensed nursery schools can use temporary childcare.

For inquiries regarding the available date and time, etc., please contact the facility you wish to use directly.

When using temporary childcare at three municipal nursery schools in Naka Ward (Yamate Nursery School, Nishiki Nursery School, and Takenomaru Nursery School), registration and reservation are required in advance.
