Nagatsuta History Exploration Map

The Nagatsuta district of Midori Ward is a town rich in historical assets that flourished as a post town on the former Oyama Kaido. In addition, there is a lot of nature, and it has the goodness of a scenic spot. One of the highlights of Nagatsuta was "Nagatsuda Ten Views".

※The "scenery" of "place name + View" is modeled on the eight scenic views of Hunan Province, China, and adds an original (*) scenery to make ten views.

1. Obayashi late bell
   Obayashiji Temple was erected in the Edo period as a bodhi-ji temple of the Okano family in the Edo period. The main hall of the temple was rebuilt in 1955. The evening bell expresses the sound of the bell wrapped in the evening mist. (It is currently under renovation.
2. Onodachirakugan
   This is the place where the Crown Prince of the time saw the exercise in the 1921 Army Exercise. It is a place where you can see the Onda River and its surrounding area. It looks like a geese flying down from the sky.
3. Oishi Kanzakura*
   It is the guardian of Nagatsuta along with Oji Shrine. In the middle of the slope leading to the precincts, there is a Kamijuku nightlight, making you feel the remnants of the inn. There are cherry blossoms along with famous trees designated by the city, and they bloom beautifully in spring.
4. Oji Akizuki (Ojishugetsu)
   Oji Shrine, which is the guardian of this area along with Oishi Shrine, is an area that maintains a favorable environment with famous trees designated by the city on the grounds. It reminds me of the moon shining in the sky.
5. Takao Fusetsu
   Mount Takao is a very good view of the surroundings, as can be seen from the existence of a 1-magnitude triangular point. There is a shrine on the top of the mountain. Living snow is an image of a mountain with snow in the distance.
6. Tenno Uoguirin *
   Tennosha and its surroundings correspond to the ridges of a hill that separates Tando, and still has a good view separated from the hustle and bustle of the city. The birdsong is beautiful.
7. Haruarashi Shimojuku
   The nightlight, which welcomes travelers in the dusk, is a historical asset that symbolizes the history of Nagatsuta's post town. Haruarashi represents the vibrancy of the former post town.
8. Nagasaka night rain
   The Oyama Kaido gradually changed its path, and Nagasaka was left behind from the current national highway. On the old road from the side of Nagatsuta Elementary School to Morimura Gakuen, which leads to the slope, there are some places that convey the atmosphere of the old Yagurazawa departure and return even slightly. It reminds me of how a traveler wearing a minokasa walking in the rain.
9. Chogetsuhikei *
   The Tando area, which was intentionally preserved in a large-scale development project, is expected to play a central role in the natural landscape of conservation. It was selected as a view suitable for Nagatsuta, where old and new ones intersect. (Currently, it cannot be entered because it is under construction.)
10. Jusensei Shou
    A place that has long been called "Sumisen" in the same land readjustment area as Nagatsuki Flyer. From the park, you can see a wide area of Nagatsuta-cho, and the view is very good. It is a place where the sunset is good.
