The “Japan-EU Urban Climate Action Workshop” was held in Pacifico-yokohama with the aim of sharing precedents for decarbonization and linking them to climate change countermeasures.
At the opening session, Mr. Parque, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Japan, Deputy Minister Yagi of the Ministry of the Environment, gave a lecture from the city of Paris, and I also introduced Yokohama's initiatives.
In addition, Mayor Lyon and Deputy Mayor Frankfurt, who are closely related to Yokohama City, participated online and received a powerful message on decarbonization.
Going forward, in cooperation with cities around the world, we will continue to steadily promote initiatives in Yokohama and contribute to the promotion of decarbonization around the world.
