As the mayor of the host city of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) at "African Day Reception 2024". The reception is hosted by the ADC (Africa diplomatic corps in Tokyo) and is held to commemorate Africa Day, the anniversary of the establishment of the African Union (AU), the predecessor of the African Union (AU).
The 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) will be held in Yokohama from August 20 to August 22nd. We will proceed with preparations in cooperation with the Embassy of African countries.
