We visited the United Nations agencies headquartered in Rome, Italy, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the IFAD (International Fund for Agriculture and Development), and the World Food Programme (WFP). All of them have offices in Japan at the Yokohama International Cooperation Center in Minato Mirai, and are closely related to Yokohama City.
Mr. Zhu Donyi, Executive Director of FAO, Mr. Alvaro Lario at IFAD, Mr. Lario at WFP, Mr. Lania Dagash-Kamara, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Republic of Stan Lake Samkange.
It was a valuable opportunity to confirm Yokohama's contribution to global food and agriculture issues and the strengthening of cooperation for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) and GREEN x EXPO 2027, which will be held in Yokohama in the future.
