Invited by the Pope Office, the Vatican government, the Vatican City Government, he attended the "From Climate Crisis to Climate Resilience", an international conference on climate change held in the Vatican, and introduced initiatives for decarbonization that we are promoting together with citizens and businesses in Yokohama. I was the only representative of Asia.
The Pope spoke about the role of cities in climate change countermeasures and the importance of collaboration, and was able to exchange opinions directly with the mayor of Paris and other world-leading chiefs in the field of decarbonization, providing an opportunity to confirm cooperation for decarbonization.
Going forward, in cooperation with cities around the world, we will continue to steadily promote initiatives in Yokohama, contribute to the promotion of decarbonization around the world, and enhance Yokohama's presence in the international community.
