Invited by the Pope's Government, the Vatican City Government, attended the "From Climate Crisis to Climate Resilience," an international conference on the theme of climate change held in the Vatican, and introduced our efforts to decarbonization being promoted together with Yokohama citizens and businesses. This was the only representative of Asia.
The Pope spoke about the role played by cities in addressing climate change and the importance of collaboration, as well as the Mayor of Paris and other world-leading chiefs in the field of decarbonization. It was an opportunity to confirm cooperation toward decarbonization.
Going forward, we will continue to work closely with cities around the world and contribute to the promotion of decarbonization around the world, and to enhance Yokohama's presence in the international community.
