We held meeting in agency to discuss measure about promotion of gender equality.
For realization of gender equality society, it is necessary for city hall to take the initiative and realize a work environment that is easy for all staff to play an active part.
At the meeting, we exchanged opinions on the theme of "promotion of male employees taking childcare leave" and "improving the proportion of women in responsible positions" at the city hall, and worked to improve the participation ratio of female committee members at affiliated organizations in Yokohama City. We shared the work with the deputy mayor, ward bureau general manager.
In addition, from this fiscal year, we have participated in the “Male Leaders' Meeting to Accelerate the Active Role of Shining Women” consisting of about 280 corporate managers and local government heads. We will accelerate our efforts while deepening our network with leaders from various organizations and industries around the country.
