About the Whistleblower Protection Act

Corporate scandals that impair the safety and security of people's lives are often evident when reporting from inside the company.
The act of reporting to prevent the spread of damage to the lives, bodies, property and other interests of the people due to corporate scandals should be protected as a legitimate act from disadvantageous treatment such as dismissal by the business operator.

In response to this situation, we will protect the lives and bodies of the people and ensure the interests of consumers, and receive disadvantageous treatment such as dismissal due to the fact that workers made a report for the public interest. The "Whistleblower Protection Act" was enforced on April 1, 2006.

What is a whistleblower (external report)?

Requirements for reporting

  1. Being a worker
    This includes regular employees, public servants, temporary workers, part-time workers, part-time workers, part-time workers, business partners, executives, and retirees (within one year).
  2. Not to be wrongful
    Reports for the purpose of gaining improper profits or damaging others will not be whistleblowing.
  3. A report that the fact to be reported has occurred or is about to occur

  4. There is a good reason to believe that the report is true.
    Rather than just speculation or hearings, considerable grounds are required, such as evidence supporting the fact that the content of the report is true or highly credible statements by the parties concerned.
