Consideration for the rehabilitation of Noba Housing and Noba housing complex
The Noba Housing (Municipal Housing) and Noba housing complex (condominiums) located in Noba-cho, Konan Ward, are large-scale housing complex with approximately 6,000 units in total. About 50 years have passed since the completion of the building, and various issues such as aging housing and facilities, declining population and aging population are emerging. In March 2021, we established the Association for Thinking about the Future of Noba Housing and Noba housing complex, where discussions were held with representatives from local residents, related organizations and government, and formulated the Noba Housing and Noba housing complex Mirai Vision in November 2021.

This vision was formulated with the aim of sharing the issues, attractiveness, and future direction of the Noba Housing and Noba housing complex with local residents. In the future, based on this vision, we will examine and promote the direction of town development and the implementation of specific initiatives.

The purpose of this survey is to ask for ideas about the possibility of rebuilding Noba housing and Noba housing that contributes to the restoration of Noba housing complex as a whole, as well as the development of new urban development bases that contribute to enhancing attractiveness (such as the use of the former site of Noba junior high school and surplus land after the rebuilding of Municipal Housing).

Municipal Noba Housing (I.J Block) Rebuilding Business
Yokohama City is currently considering rebuilding the municipal Noba Housing Block I and Block J as a project based on the Act on Promotion of Maintenance of Public Facilities by Utilizing Private Funds.
