In December 2011 (Heisei 23), Yokohama City received a report from the 4th Yokohama City Housing Policy Council on "Future Housing Policy" and formulated the "Yokohama City Housing Life Basic Plan". In May 2016, we consulted with the 6th Yokohama City Housing Policy Council in May 2016 to respond to changes in housing and living environment, etc. We received a report in April 2017 (Heisei 29) on the development of future housing policies for realizing a safe and sustainable town full of charm. " This plan was formulated based on the purpose of the Basic Law on Living Life and the report of the council, with the aim of showing the basic direction of the housing and living environment in Yokohama City for the next 10 years.

The Yokohama City Rental Housing Supply Promotion Plan, in the “New Housing Safety Net System” established on October 25, 2017, sets goals for the supply of rental housing to those who need to secure housing, and comprehensively and systematically It is a plan to develop measures.
