Temporary housing (construction type, rental type)
In the event that the Disaster Relief Act is applied in Kanagawa Prefecture due to the occurrence of a large-scale disaster, etc., temporary housing will be provided to survivors, which is unable to obtain housing by its own means.

Overview of temporary housing
What is temporary housing?
If the Disaster Relief Act is applied in Kanagawa Prefecture due to the occurrence of a large-scale disaster, etc., it will be supplied free of charge to survivors, whose houses are damaged by "completely destroyed" and so on.
Type of temporary housing
There are two types of temporary housing. ・
It is an emergency house newly constructed and provided by the city with prefabricated wooden construction
This is an emergency housing that the city leases and provides general rental housing.
Those who are eligible
Those who meet all of the following requirements:
- Those whose houses were completely destroyed, burned, or spilled out
- Those who live in Yokohama City on the day of the disaster
- Those who can't secure housing with their own means
- Those who do not live in other temporary housing based on the Disaster Relief Act
- When using the emergency repair system for houses based on the Disaster Relief Act, those who are expected to have an emergency repair period of more than one month
- Those who do not use the obstacle removal system based on the Disaster Relief Act
- Those who are not gang members
Period during which you can move in
As a general rule, it is 2 years.

Costs
No usage fee (rent) is required, but you will be responsible for utilities expenses.

How to select tenants
After the reception, selection will be made in consideration of the priority. (If there is the same priority, lottery.)
Priority households
- Households with elderly people aged 65 and over who fall under any of the following
- 3 or more requiring nursing care in The Long-term Care Insurance
- Those who need nursing care in The Long-term Care Insurance 2 or less and have a degree of independence in daily life with dementia II or higher
- Only elderly people aged 65 and over only
- Households with disabilities who fall under any of the following
- Users with disabilities and welfare services (disabled, intellectual, mental disorders, incurable disease)
- Person of certificate of the physically disabled 1.2 grade
- Nursing notebook (love notebook) A1 or A2
- Mental Handicapped Welfare and Health Handbook Level 1
- Handbook for the Physically Handicapped 3rd grade and nursing notebook (love notebook) B1
- Households with infants or pregnant women under 3 years of age
- Households with single parents who have children under the age of 18
- In addition, households with special circumstances for those who wish to move into private rental housing and have reasonable reasons to move in immediately.

Precautions
- Application is limited to one unit once per household.
- If the application details are incomplete or found to be different from the facts, you will not be able to move in.
- Follow the rules for breeding pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.).
- The facilities required for moving in (bath tubs, bath kettle, gas table, lighting equipment) will be installed by Yokohama City.
What is Rental Temporary Housing?
This is a method for those affected by the disaster to search for properties themselves and apply to Yokohama City.
Requirements for housing to be rented
You need to look for a house that meets all of the following requirements 1 to 4.

※The departure and repair contribution is to pay the cost of restoration that occurs at the time of departure, and does not require liquidation. Residents will be responsible for any restoration costs that exceed the departure and repair fees due to the intention or negligence of the resident.
Flow until moving in
- If you wish to move in, you will find a property at a cooperating real estate store.
- With the cooperation of the real estate store, we will prepare the application form and prepare the necessary documents (copy of the certificate of affliction, etc.)
- Applicants must submit the application form to the nearest ward office.
- After the examination by Yokohama City, an approval letter will be sent after the examination. (Approximate: 3 weeks after application)
- The real estate store creates a contract, and the applicant, Yokohama City, and the lessor seal the contract.
- Receive the key from the real estate store and move in. (Approximate: 1 month after application)
