What is 3R Yumehiroba?…
We established "G30 open space Kanazawa" as G30 enlightenment base to send information to promote reduction, separation of garbage more and had many citizens come.
Along with the development of the new plan "Yokohama 3R Dream (Slim) Plan" following G30, "G30 Hiroba Kanazawa" has been renamed to "3R Yume Hiroba Kanazawa"!
We will continue to enhance the place where you can learn while enjoying environmental issues through notices etc.!
Overview of "3R Yumehiroba Kanazawa"
・Location: Kanazawa Plant and Administration Building 2F
・Opening date: From Monday to Saturday
(excluding New Year holidays, public holidays, and facility inspection days)
・Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
(Admission until 4 o'clock)
・Admission fee: Free of charge
・Reservation: Required only for groups (20 or more)
・Factory tour: If you would like to visit the factory, please make a reservation in advance.
3R Yumehiroba Kanazawa Exhibition Description
(1)kitchen garbage drainage tools
Reducing water in kitchen garbage helps prevent kitchen garbage smell, reduce waste and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2).
Draining tools using plastic bottles and CDs introduced on the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau website are actually on display.
(2)Garbage crane bucket full-size model
It is a full-size model of a device for putting garbage into an incinerator. You can grab up to 7.5 tons of garbage.
Please actually see it and feel the size!
(3)Protective clothing for work in incinerators
In the garbage incinerator, work is performed by wearing special work clothes to deal with dioxins.
Here, you can actually wear protective clothing that you wear when you work.

Available to study garbage separation while playing with puzzle game.
(5)Let's move the garbage incinerator!
An incinerator is a device that burns garbage continuously. Garbage in the incinerator burns on a table called a stoker (glaste) and turns ash.
With this device, you can feel how the stalker (grate) is moving in the incinerator by moving it yourself.
(6)Make electricity from garbage!
At the Kanazawa Plant, steam is produced using the heat generated by burning garbage, and the power of that steam is used to turn the turbine to generate electricity.
Here, a real steam turbine actually used at the Konan Plant is on display.
