What is Mio Io Hiroba?…
Disseminate information to further promote waste reduction and separation. We established "3R Yume Hiroba Kanazawa" as 3R dream (slim) enlightenment base and had many citizens come.
With the development of the "Yokohama Pra 5.3 (garbage) plan", "3R Yumehiroba Kanazawa" has been renamed "Mio Io Hiroba Kanazawa"!
We will continue to enhance it as a place where you can learn while enjoying environmental issues through notices!
Overview of "Mio Io Hiroba Kanazawa"
・Location: 2nd floor of the Kanazawa Plant and Administration Building
・Opening day: Monday to Saturday
(Excluding New Year holidays, public holidays, and facility inspection days)
・Opening hours: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (entrance until 4:00 pm)
・Admission fee: Free of charge
・Reservation: Not required
・Factory tour: Please make a reservation in advance if you wish to visit the factory at the same time.
Mio Io Hiroba Kanazawa Exhibition Explanation
(1)kitchen garbage draining tools
Reducing water in kitchen garbage helps prevent the smell of kitchen garbage, reduce waste, and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2).
(2)A full-scale model of garbage crane bucket
It is a full-scale model of a device for putting garbage into the incinerator. You can grab up to 7.5 tons of garbage.

In the garbage incinerator, work is performed by wearing special work clothes to deal with dioxins.

An incinerator is a device that burns garbage continuously. The garbage in the incinerator burns on a table called a stoker (fire grid) and turns into ash.
With this device, you can feel how the stalker (fire grid) is moving in the incinerator by yourself.
(6)Make electricity from garbage!
At the Kanazawa Plant, steam is produced using the heat generated by burning garbage, and the steam power is used to turn the turbine to generate electricity.
Here, a real steam turbine that was actually used at the Konan Plant is on display.
