In Yokohama City, compared to the northern part of Shin-Yokohama, the urban infrastructure such as roads is not enough, and we have been examining town development in the southern district of Shin-Yokohama Station, where there is a problem. As a result, in February 2023, we created a town development plan (draft) centered on roads that will be the framework to be prioritized in conjunction with the redevelopment project at Shinohara Exit of Shin-Yokohama Station. Opinions were raised until March 31, 2023 by distribution to approximately 1,900 buildings in the area or publication on Motoichi HP, we raised opinions until March 31, 2023.
Progress of past town development
In the southern district of Shin-Yokohama Station, in order to respond to the issues of the town, such as the maintenance of sewage roads and the improvement of roads, in 2010, "How to think about a new town development in the southern district of Shin-Yokohama Station" was determined, and based on this. We pushed forward examination and made town development plan (plan) this time.

(1) The linear and width of the Shin-Yokohama Shinohara Line have been changed and maintained, and pointing to comfortable station access.
(2) Through the urban redevelopment project, we will form a space in front of the town.
(3) Improve local traffic issues by widening the Kikuna Route 70 and Kikuna Route 245.
(4) The land readjustment project in the southern part of Shin-Yokohama Station and the city planning for the Shin-Yokohama Minamiguchi Line will be abolished.

How to proceed with the town development plan (draft)
Regarding the town development plan at Shinohara Exit of Shin-Yokohama Station, we will formulate a plan while asking the opinions of the local people from the draft stage, and then consult with related organizations, We refer to commercialization after having decided as city planning after inspection and hearing, city planning council for city planning, we point to commercialization.
In front of Shin-Yokohama Station Shinohara Exit, a redevelopment preparatory union established by a landowner is considering an urban redevelopment project. After the city planning decision, we will proceed with detailed examinations, and when the approval of related organizations and consensus building among landowners are almost complete, the urban redevelopment association will start on the station square redevelopment project.
Regarding Kikuna Line 70 and Kikuna 245, Yokohama City will carry out widening maintenance in line with the station redevelopment project. Regarding the Shin-Yokohama Shinohara Line, the Urban Redevelopment Association will maintain the project together with the project within the scope of the station square redevelopment project, and the Yokohama City will proceed with the development outside of the area of the station square redevelopment project after the project is completed.
