Taking advantage of the convenience of a wide-area transportation terminal such as the Shinkansen, etc., we aim to accumulate various and wide-area functions such as business and commerce, and in addition to Shin-Yokohama Park including Shin-Yokohama Station, where facilities have already been located, In addition, the surrounding areas such as the Hazawa area will be systematically developed to create a central Shin-Yokohama with comprehensive functions.
Formulation of basic plans for the entire city center of Shin-Yokohama
It was positioned as "Shin-Yokohama City Center" under the "Yumehama 2010 Plan", and decided on land use and infrastructure development appropriate for the city center, and formulated the Shin-Yokohama City Center Development Basic Plan in June 1999. .
In addition to the Tokaido Shinkansen, Yokohama Line, and subway lines, in the future, the Kanagawa Eastern Line will be improved, making use of transportation convenience to accumulate business, commercial and amusement facilities, cultural and exchange facilities, etc.
In addition, we will promote the development of Shin-Yokohama Station and the area around the station to further strengthen the terminal function and create a face in the city center.
(2) Jogo (small desk) district
While having the Yokohama International Stadium, the area is surrounded by the Tsurumi River and the Toriyama River, and is rich in nature. We plan maintenance as base of park and health, medical care, welfare facilities, sports recreation.
(3) Niwa district
A district that serves as a base for “manufacturing” inland areas supported by high basic technology. We will promote the advancement of production technology and strengthen cooperation with R & D functions outside the district, and promote the creation of bustle suitable for the station square, such as by accumulating commerce and business around the station.
(4) Hazawa district
We will promote planned urban development in harmony with nature by maintaining the sharpness of development and conservation. In addition, with the maintenance of the Kanagawa Eastern Area Line, we will promote town development around the station.
