Plan for town development

"Excite Yokohama 22" is working to respond to further internationalization, environmental issues, enhance attractiveness as a station, and ensure safety in the event of a disaster in the area around Yokohama Station. It is a plan that will serve as a guideline for proceeding. I would like to introduce my current plan.
Excite Yokohama 22

In order to improve disaster prevention capabilities in the area around Yokohama Station, as well as measures for residents and people unable to return home, railway operators and private businesses set goals and initiatives in cooperation with government agencies such as the government and Yokohama Citytsunami. I would like to introduce my current plan.
To ensure the safety of urban regeneration

In order to improve the attractiveness and value of the town, local organizations, private businesses, and citizens are taking the initiative in conducting discussions and activities to improve the attractiveness and value of the town.
Toward area management-type town development

Based on the situation and background surrounding the area around Yokohama Station, based on the "Excite Yokohama 22 Basic Policy on Infrastructure Development", specific plans and projects of infrastructure development to be tackled by approximately 20 years will be compiled at the Infrastructure Development Study Group. Based on the occurrence of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the designation of emergency development areas for specific urban regeneration, the direction of priority initiatives aimed at improving disaster safety and realizing an international exchange city is shown within the medium-term study in line with private development.
